Reece in the Schools

The Reece in the Schools project is an effort by the Byron Herbert Reece Society to make resources available to educators to integrate lessons about Reece, his literature, and his culture into the classroom or school.

The Byron Herbert Reece Society hosts an annual Arts Contest where students are encouraged to submit work for judging. Entries may be poetry, prose, music, paper media artwork, or digital multimedia projects. The contest deadline is Friday, February 24, 2012. For more information contact Carol Knight, Union County educator at cknight@ucschools.org.

There is a list of Reece related materials here, including a bibliography of his works, a list of biographies and other information helpful in the study of Reece and Appalachia.
